Music Stimulates the Brain
Research has shown that exposure to music at a young age can improve memory, motor development, timing, and language skills. Children who learn to play a musical instrument perform better in mathematics, reading and writing. Music has the ability to stimulate the brain for beyond any other activity.
Music Enhances the Quality of Life
Music encourages communication and socialization. It enhances learning through the joy of play. It provides an opportunity or self-expression and helps to create self-esteem. Music provides immediate positive reinforcement that motivates children to explore their abilities.
Come Join Us!
Community Therapies is excited to be able to offer "Mommy & Me" style music classes. We will be exploring rhythms, learning new songs, and singing old favorites. Children are encouraged to enjoy the process of making music. Classes are separated according to age and all activities are developmentally appropriate. Classes run in eight week sessions and space is limited. The next session will be starting in September. Please call our office for times and rates.
